A little about me:
So, I am on the precipice of becoming an adult, trying to get through college, get a job, and make money.
However, before all of these expectations, I was just your average human hailing from the fringe state of Alaska.
Fundamentally, I value creativity, exploration and a have a lifelong drive to learn and pursue various interests with an often irrational fervor. This is part of what makes me who I am.
I have always been encouraged by my parents to self direct my education, pursuing my interest and streamlining my education. Early on I was classically educated, which evolved into specialized course studies, all the while making and tinkering and creating.
I am a bit of an oddity in that I have the credits, scores and tools I need to pursue higher education and a career in engineering, technical or mathematical fields, however, much to the chagrin of my career counselors, I am more inspired to work in a creative, self determined arena like fine arts, animation or cinematography.

My Goals (or the lack thereof, perhaps the equivalent too??)
It is part of the life handbook that you are endowed with specific goals and plans and direction right when you are about to graduate high school and make plans for your future. Unfortunately my handbook was lost or misplaced or perhaps I used the paper for making spaceships when I was a younger. Whatever the reason, I do not really have a “plan”. This might be interpreted as a problem, it certainly has frustrated many of the people who care for me. Statistically speaking, most people figure out what they want to do in college, often times not finding their true calling until late in life. The concept that I should have all this confidently figured everything out at this time is quite absurd. That being said, I do have a general idea of what I want.
I understand that deciding to enter fine arts school and pursuing it confidently is not the easiest path I have available. It is expensive, and when I am finished I cannot expect a job or career waiting for me. It would be easier to follow the engineers guide to a fulfilling life and check all the boxes from education to institutional career to retirement. However, that is one thing that I want to avoid. Sure I have a deep seated appreciation for the precision of math and engineering, but I do not want to simply be a cog in the mechanisms of society.
My goals are quite simple really:

My goals are quite simple really:
- To be in an environment that facilitates my personal creative growth and education
- To be surrounded by people who are driven and interested in things similar to myself (an environment in which I have never found myself in)
- To be educated, trained and taught by people who are experts in their creative fields
- To learn and develop personally, to leave with a greater set of skills, tools and expertise to apply to everything I do for the rest of my days.
